ABOUT
My name is Hannah. I'm a photographer from Kalamazoo, Michigan who specializes in black and white documentary sessions and nature-based family photos. During the school year, I teach 4th and 5th grade and I love working with children and families. When I'm not teaching or being a photographer, I love to read, garden, climb, practice yoga, and go hiking.
I have been photographing professionally since 2015 and continually keep refining my skills as I connect with my clients. My sessions are relaxed and I want you to feel like the final images represent you and your family genuinely. I offer couples, family, maternity, newborn, senior portrait, headshot, and documentary sessions. You can also commission me for performance photography, birth photos, and other projects. Window light, outdoor spaces, and a slow and gentle approach are important aspects of my sessions. I have an affinity for black and white candids and if you are looking for documentary style family photos that capture the beauty and chaos of every day life, I might be a good fit for you!
I'd love to work with you to capture the important moments in your life--whether big or small.

Please note: I am a queer photographer and have experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, families, and weddings. Everyone deserves to have photos that they are proud of and empowered in.
